Hi, I am Varun from India. I want to know that for going to USA under Non-immigrant F1 student visa, whom sponsership should be prefered- Family friends or relatives. I want visa succses, so please tell me that for embassy what should I do- Family Friend sponsership or Relative Sponsership?
Answer: Contact the International Student Office at some of the schools you are thinking of attending. They will give you the best advice.
I suggest checking Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. My daughter is going there for her Masters. We are Canadian and she is there with an F-1.
Just note that if you are looking for a scholarship, it is very, very hard to get one as an international student. Not impossible but the ones that are available may only cover 25% of the cost.
