Is education more or less valuable with the economic situati

Question: I'm wondering if a college education is less or more valuable with the current economic situation. Will employers be more lenient in who they hire due to tough times and an education being hard to pay for, or will they only want to hire the best people? Sometimes I wonder if I was better off not even going to college. Thanks for the help.

Answer: education = $ END OF STORY

Others:

In the UK, the recession has made many employers more, not less, interested in education and training. They want to make sure their staff can compete in the global economy and that their business has unique skills. With qualifications and/or work experience, you'll be a much more attractive prospect to potential employers.

I'll tell you what I heard on the news today:

Employers are looking for older applicants who have experience

and

More people are going back to school after being laid off

It sounds like KNOWLEDGE is key in finding a job when the economy is bad. College is one way to get some of that knowledge. Another way is to take an entry level position, internship, or apprenticeship. Some employers will even help you pay for school.

Only in America will the value of education be questioned.
