Question: I took my GMAT yesterday and got a score of 700. Firstly, how should I evaluate the score - Average, Descently good, above average or excellent? Secondly, I wish to apply for MS finance. Which universities you recommend I should apply to? I am a fresher. I am currently in the last year of my engineering from Jaypee University Of information Technology, H.P. I have a current CGPA of 8.1\10 and I rank 4th or 5th in my batch. I also have a descent number of co-curricular participations up in my pocket. I have also won gold merits in National Cyber Olympiads for two succesive years. Please let me know if I would be able to apply to top 15 universities of US.
Answer: Assuming there isn't a significant split between your quant and verbal scores (and you could compensate for the latter with good essays), a 700 is perfectly acceptable for any program. I wouldn't spend any more time worrying about that aspect of your application.
