Question: I have a 3.875 GPA average, I just recently scheduled 7 gifted classes (the level higher than AP), I am an exceptional artist and writer. I have also, taught myself three different instruments. I am the vice-president of the Writer's Club at our school and I am also in Habitat for Humanity, Art Club, Science Club, Rachel's Challenge (set up for the first girl killed at Columbine), and Key Club (kind of like Jr. Beta). I am also an alumni with the JrNYLC (Junior National Young Leaders Conference). Are these requirements good enough to get me into an Ivy League college or should I excel more, academically?
Answer: GPA is just "okay"
btw, there is no such thing as classes higher than AP ;-) unless you want to explain it...
ECs pretty good, nothing extraordinary (i'm in friends of rachel, too!!! and the college interviewers love talking about this)
You need to be ranked top 1-3% and have above a 2200 to have a peaceful mind, and yeah, excel more academically.
To conclude, you are ABLE, but I suggest you use the time you have left to just...do more. do as much as you can then just leave it up to fate. good luck.
