Question: I am a Junior right now.
The classes I am currently taking are Physics, US History, Psychology, Spanish 3, Pre-Cal, and AP English.
My overall high school gpa is low; around a 3.3 unweighted.
I am in ASB, a mentor for a new club, class representative for another club, and fundraiser/activities commissioner for Habitat for Humanity club.
I play Varsity Basketball and for 2 other club teams year-round. I have some letters of interests from colleges for basketball, although I am not depending on it to get in.
I plan to coach younger kids for service learning hours, plus I will get a job soon.
I am aiming for at least an 1800 on my SAT, and I plan to take 3 subject tests.
So what are my chances in getting into any UCI, UCSB, UC Davis, and UC Riverside?
Also, how about Pepperdine or Santa Clara University?
Answer: collegefinder.my-age.net - try this site. It has info about getting into UCs, tips to apply and grades requirements.
Others:
Low for UCSB and UC Davis, fair for UCI, not so bad for UC Riverside, Pepperdine, or SCU.
You should reprioritize. Basketball won't get you into college. Spending the time trying to improve your very average grades might.
