Program Detail : Policies & Procedures (P&P) is the communication of people practices in organizations. This online course provides an overview and introduction to P&P communications as a discipline from four perspectives: P&P practitioners, P&P development process, P&P information products, and P&P users. Participants learn the scope, resources, trends, roles, and vocabulary of P&P discipline; stages and issues involved in developing P&P; effective writing styles, formats, techniques, and structures for P&P information; and the challenges, values, and importance of P&P for users and organizations. Participants analyze documents, discuss issues, and apply principles and guidelines in exercises and to actual documents. Designed for P&P analysts, P&P department managers, technical communicators, instructional designers, and others who wish to learn the P&P discipline and basics for developing P&P.
