Program Detail : Do you want to see your name in print? Crafting publishable work requires an intense analysis of the markets you want to crack. This online course lets students in on the secrets of published nonfiction writers and shows them how to uncover hidden opportunities, find compelling ideas, research the story, and write what editors want. Weekly assignments begin with market analysis and progress to reporting and writing skills. Students also are exposed to well-written published work. The student's goal is to complete either a book proposal or several short magazine articles and a query letter.
