Program Detail : Explore the various configuration techniques used for networking branch offices, setting up extranets, intranets, and Internetwork access. Learn the fundamentals of router architectures, including the necessary commands to setup, configure and troubleshoot the routers. You will also have access to routers via the Internet, as well as simulated configuration and quizzes on the CD that accompanies the text. Topics include:
router architecture, modes, interfaces, and selecting the correct router
basic router configuration and troubleshooting
IOS commands
static and dynamic routing RIP
IGRP distance vector and link state protocols
password recovery methods, configuration backup and restore
standard and extended access lists, integrating routers in internetworks
This course is appropriate for current Cisco products users, network administrators, internetworking specialists and technicians involved in the configuration and support of multi-protocol networks using Cisco Routers. Those who want to pursue Cisco certification status from the vendor can also benefit from the course. This course is offered in partnership with UC Santa Cruz.
