Program Detail : This online tutorial is designed for beginning technical writers, those interested in a technical writing career, and technical specialists who write documents as part of their job. Instruction covers the stages of document preparation from concept to print: audience analysis, document planning, gathering information, formatting documents, drafting and revising, and managing the review cycles. Students learn how to evaluate documents for usability and tailor a document's style, format, and content to a technical and nontechnical audience. Students analyze documents, complete a series of writing assignments, and plan/draft one short technical document.
