Program Detail : This interactive online course will help you teach the mathematics inherent in the Mathematics Content Standards for California Public Schools for grades 6, 7 and 8. Designed to complement any of the California adopted pre-algebra and algebra textbooks, the course emphasizes variables, expression and functions; properties of real numbers; linear equations; and solving and graphing inequalities. You will analyze mathematical problems, interpret student data and examine adjusting instruction based on assessed student needs. Through course discussion boards and a course messaging system, you will interact with your virtual classmates and your instructor, sharing lesson plans, teaching strategies, materials, assignments and mathematical insights.
