Program Detail : The course examines the process of impact cratering, with focus on our own Moon. After reviewing the makeup, origin, and characteristics of comets, asteroids and meteors, the role of these objects in the formation of the Lunar surface will be thoroughly assessed. The threat of comet, asteroid and meteor impacts on Earth will also be addressed.
