Program Detail : This course focuses on the economic aspects of space exploration, the space race, and other issues that tie space activity to the international economy. Topics covered include commercial space activities, launch services, satellite communications, remote sensing, microgravity materials processing, and interaction with the government. Global competition against subsidized or government-sponsored entities is examined. The future economic implications of a large-scale human presence in space are also examined.
